Join us for a weekend of high-energy collaboration where you’ll have access to CNT’s data, staff, and models to create tools to tackle urban problems. You’ll meet like-minded programmers, pitch your ideas, form teams, get to work, present your results, and win great prizes!
Thursday, the conversation begins
Hackathon participants are invited to join the discussion, Reinventing Chicago. Bring your ideas to the table with Chicago’s civic, business, and IT communities. Let’s hear how our city can be smarter, more sustainable, and work better. Hackathon participants do not need to purchase tickets to this event.
Friday, you’ll form your team
Spend the evening mingling with other participants and urban thinkers, pitching ideas, and forming your team.
Saturday, we’ll get to work
CNT staff will be on hand for consultations as your team puts ideas into coding action. CNT data to be made available during the event includes:
The Housing + Transportation (H+T) Affordability Index
The Abogo Transportation Cost API
The Transit Oriented Development Database
Sunday, we’ll celebrate our successes
Present your team’s new tool to our guest judges:
