Were the air service changes at U.S. commercial service airports from October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2003 a result of structural changes in the U.S. air transportation network, or just a cyclical variation in activity? This is the question addressed by James deBettencourt, Hank Dittmar, and Anthony Perl in their new article in World Transport Policy & Practice. This article grew out of research conducted under the auspices of Reconnecting America’s Transportation Networks, a partnership between CNT, the Surface Transportation Policy Project, and Reconnecting America.
