Kathryn Tholin Named as New CEO

The CNT Board announced the appointment of Kathryn Tholin to the post of CEO. Kathy had been acting as interim CEO since February, when her predecessor, Robert Lieberman, resigned to accept an appointment to the Illinois Commerce Commission.
Kathy has a long tenure with the organization. She first joined CNT in 1978 and remained on staff for the next decade, departing in 1988 to join the Woodstock Institute as executive vice president. Kathy continued her association with CNT as a member of the board, eventually returning in 2000 to join CNT’s senior staff to develop and manage the Community Energy Cooperative. Through her position with the Cooperative, Kathy guided CNT’s work in the field of energy policy, conservation and real-time pricing.
