The weather was gorgeous. The food, delicious and organically prepared by Greg Christian Catering. The drinks, refreshing, including the custom “CNTini”, and beer provided by local brewers Half Acre and Piece. CNT’s 30th event at the beautiful and appropriate Garfield Park Conservatory (Garfield’s very first fundraiser event benefitted CNT) was highlighted by the Mardi Gras Mystick Krewe of LAFF and BS Brass Band, “second lining” guests into the program and a night of reflections and awards to Adele Simmons and Sadhu Johnston for their work on the Chicago Climate Action Plan, Illinois State Representative Julie Hamos for her work on mass transit and the Al Raby School for their leadership in promoting a curriculum around the environment and community. And guests left with a delicious cookie made by Lindy’s Cookie Studio! All in all, a great success for CNT and friends.
