CNT was thrilled to see Barack Obama, a Chicago community organizer and former CNT Board member, take the Presidential Oath of Office on Tuesday. As the first President since Theodore Roosevelt grounded in urban living, we look forward to a new direction in Federal policy that moves our country in a sustainable direction that both improves the economy for everyone and protects the environment.

CTA Launches Joint Smart Card Program with I-GO Car Sharing

The Chicago Transit Authority and I-GO Car Sharing on Wednesday launched their joint smart card program – a single card that can be used to gain access to I-GO vehicles and ride the CTA. The program is part of CTA’s continued commitment to promote the use of public transportation by providing additional travel options for commuters.
