Anna joined CNT in 2015 to help with the roll-out and expansion of the RainReady program, principally focusing on RainReady Home. She is thrilled to be a part of an innovative initiative that uses homeowner empowerment, grassroots organizing and community planning to manage flooding issues and improve urban resiliency throughout the Chicagoland region and beyond.
Prior to CNT, Anna worked at the Alliance for the Great Lakes on water resource management projects and the organization’s invasive species policy campaign, and she is a former intern with CNT’s Water Supply Program. Passionate about sustainable food systems, Anna also interned with Experimental Station where she helped with food access outreach and education efforts throughout the Woodlawn community area, and promoted the 61st Street Farmers’ Market’s food stamp program. She lived on a permaculture farm for a season, and hopes to have a small farm of her own someday.
Anna has a Master of Urban Planning and Policy from University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Spanish from Indiana University – Bloomington.
