Public Transportation Participation: From the Margins to the Mainstream

CNT and the Surface Transportation Policy Partnership (STPP) hosted two webinars and two workshops in 2007 & 2008 aimed at educating transportation advocates, government officials, developers, and citizens about the transportation planning process. These webinars and workshops are part of a larger project, the Public Transportation Participation Pilot Program (PTP), whose goal is to improve the quality of public involvement during transportation planning.

The project is funded by SAFETEA-LU, with oversight and administration by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. These workshops were also made possible through the support of The Oak Foundation and AARP.
