Dawn Thompson-Ellis joined CNT in 2016 to manage CNT’s RainReady Neighbors Program, which engages proximate neighbors to implement RainReady solutions. Dawn has over eight years of water resource planning experience with a particular focus on wastewater and stormwater management. Prior to CNT, Dawn worked as a water resources planner for northeastern Illinois’ regional planning commission and oversaw its wastewater planning program. She also served as staff liaison to the agency’s wastewater committee, authored several watershed plans and conducted outreach to affected communities to implement plan recommendations. Dawn is actively involved in the American Water Works Association’s Young Professionals Committee and is committed to bringing RainReady solutions to disadvantaged communities.
Dawn holds a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Dominican University and holds certificates in Geographical Information Services and Conflict Management.
