eTOD: New Transportation Technology

What will new transportation technologies do for equitable transit-oriented development (eTOD)?

Presented Thursday, March 21, 2019

Urban transportation systems are rapidly evolving to accommodate new modes of transportation – car and bike sharing, transportation network companies (TNCs, like Uber and Lyft), electric vehicles, scooters, and some testing of autonomous vehicles. How might these impact transit-oriented development (TOD), especially in communities of color and low-income communities? How can we ensure that the benefits and costs are shared equitably?
